We are currently hiring for full-time Barista for the Roundhouse Market, Monday through Friday day shifts. While we appreciate some experience, this is an entry level position, we are willing to train the right candidate!

The Barista is responsible for serving our products with friendly, hospitable, professional, and individualized attention for each customer according to our Service Standards. As a Barista, you will take orders, prepare and serve coffee, specialty coffee drinks, tea, and other beverages to customer specifications. You will be responsible for providing information about our products; operating cash registers and POS systems; you will maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the working area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Greets all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service and develops a rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks and food items.
· Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
· Answers customer questions regarding coffee/beverage blends, and preparation.
· Accurately enter customer orders into cash register/POS system
· Ensure accuracy of cash and credit card handling.
· Responds proactively to prevent customer service situations.
· Reports all customer complaints to manager on duty.
· Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, and food products for coffee bar.
· Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
· Routinely cleans the bar area, floor, windows and grinders, and takes out trash, etc.
· Sells and serves baked goods and miscellaneous food items to customers.
· Maintains efficient, friendly service.
· Restocks shelves when necessary.
· Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
· Reports potential safety hazards to the manager on duty.
· Informs the manager on duty of any operational inconsistencies.
