POSITION SUMMARY:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Range Café restaurant, including the selection, development and performance management of employees. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food and supplies and overall cleanliness of restaurant, optimize profits and ensure that guests are satisfied with their dining experience.

$66,560-$69,900 annually based on relevant experience to the role.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

Maintain proper inventory levels and monthly record of COS.

Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.

Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.

Is responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service.

Provides direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.

Interviews hourly employees. Makes hiring decision, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees.

Conducts orientation and training of new employees.

Develops employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.

Maintains an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs. Prepares weekly schedules and ensures that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.

Ensures that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets.

Annual pricing review and market competition analysis.

Oversee social media posting and advertising.

QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree is preferred. Bachelor of Science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable. A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.

Competent with computers and a variety of applications, MS Word, Excel, POS systems

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Supervisor in a food and beverage setting.

Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.

Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.

Manager level food handler certification required

Responsible Beverage Server certification required

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
