We are a traveling couple seeking a private chef to prepare healthy, delicious meals in our Marin County home on an intermittent basis for ourselves, visiting family, and guests. While prior experience or formal training is preferred, it is not required. The position offers flexibility in scheduling, making it ideal for someone who is looking for occasional work with the potential for more frequent assignments.
Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare healthy meals in our kitchen, both for immediate consumption and to be stored for later.
Occasionally cook for dinner parties or events at our home.
Manage grocery shopping for all meals, so a personal vehicle is required.
Flexibility is key, as workdays and hours will vary depending on our needs.
Qualifications:
Experience in catering, restaurants, or as a private chef is preferred.
A culinary degree or equivalent certification is a plus.
Strong knowledge of nutrition and the ability to accommodate various dietary needs.
Proven ability to create diverse menus and handle different cuisines.
Ability to pass a background check and provide references.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
