Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking meals that meet our restaurant's standards, ensuring customer satisfaction with every dish served.

Duties

1+ year of kitchen experience or equivalent culinary education.

ServSafe and/or California Food Handlers Certification.

Full time.

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.

Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Assist in the planning and execution of daily specials and catering events as needed.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.

Ability to work effectively in a team, be proactive, have a sense of urgency, a positive attitude and effective communication.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.

Safe knife skills.

Proficient in food preparation techniques, including chopping, grilling, frying, and baking.

Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.

Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members.

Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus, particularly in understanding dietary restrictions and preferences.

A background in the food industry or previous experience as a cook is highly desirable.
