Job Summary The Lead Server is responsible for consistently delivering strong service results. This position ensures the restaurant is properly staffed, employees are on task, and that the restaurant is well organized, stocked, and cleaned. This position is also responsible for the business operating smoothly during the assigned shift. In this role, the Lead Server will partner with other members of management to keep the work environment safe and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead servers direct all daily operations of the restaurant including supervising and training employees
Opening and closing the store, ensuring all food preparation is complete, managing employee breaks and shift changes, and completing shift summary reports
Handle guest complaints in a professional and appropriate manner
Works as a team player to support other employees in completing their tasks
Complete appropriate sales and tip paperwork
Day to day operations with tasks including scheduling, ordering, and team development
Ensures that all local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies are followed
Maintains fast, accurate and outstanding service, ensures an excellent customer experience, and makes sure all products are consistent with company standards
Completes all other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
1 -2 year(s) of experience as a Lead Server or Assistant Manager/Manager in the fast paced restaurant
Excellent multitasking skills
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills, and the ability to be flexible and adapt in any situation
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills (via phone, email, and in-person)
Ability to work under strict deadlines
Customer Service: A friendly, relaxing demeanor, courteousness and quick service will help get repeat customers
Teamwork: Lead Servers are part of a team. You will be working with others to make a great dining experience. Being a team player is essential
Leadership Skills: Lead Servers will have to keep employees motivated, resolve conflicts and make hard decisions
Prerequisites for Employment:
Valid California ServSafe Food Handler Certification
Valid Responsible Beverage Service Certification
