Ju-Ni is a sushi restaurant in San Francisco, renowned for precision, creativity, and exceptional hospitality. We are seeking an experienced sushi chef to join our intimate team and deliver world-class omakase experiences to our guests.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute sushi preparation with a focus on high-quality fish, traditional techniques, and modern creativity.
Deliver omakase-style service, interacting with guests directly at the counter to create a memorable dining experience.
Maintain the highest standards of knife skills, rice preparation, and seafood handling.
Collaborate with the culinary team to source ingredients and refine seasonal menus.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards in the kitchen and sushi bar.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional sushi experience, with at least 2 years focused on omakase service.
Mastery of sushi preparation techniques, including fish butchery and rice seasoning.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with guests in a warm, professional manner.
Commitment to consistency, detail, and hospitality at the highest level.
