Job Title: Full-Time Warehouse & Delivery Driver
Schedule: 9am-5pm, Monday – Friday
About Us:
The Japanese Pantry imports and distributes artisanal Japanese ingredients from our warehouse in Dogpatch, San Francisco. We’ve traveled across Japan to meet producers creating incredible ingredients: from roasted sesame seeds and konbu from Hokkaido to centuries-old tamari and rice vinegar made from rice they grow themselves. We supply restaurants, specialty retail stores, and home cooks nationwide, focusing on quality and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Deliver orders across the Bay Area using The Japanese Pantry van
Pack and ship orders to online and wholesale customers
Build pallets for nationwide shipments
Assist with warehouse tasks like organization and inventory
Communicate with team about orders and schedules
Report back on interactions with chefs and retail clients
Learn and share knowledge about our products and pricing
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
Friendly, trustworthy, eager to learn
Enjoy interacting with people and customers
Basic computer skills and strong verbal communication
Fluent in English
Able to lift 50+ lbs
Culinary experience or knowledge of Japanese ingredients is a plus, but not required

Hours: 35-40 hours/week (closed weekends)
