Grand Lake Kitchen is looking for full and part time managers!

Who we are:

A high volume restaurant group known for its daily brunch menu, outdoor seating, charming dinner service and private events space. We are so grateful to be busy enough to need another team member! Our amazing staff needs a leader to join our team of outstanding managers. The work is both challenging and rewarding!

Requirements:

- Lead server, Shift lead, and/or FOH management experience

- Experience as a host/server/bartender. You have to know what you’re teaching!

- You are a problem-solver, detail-oriented, and a self-starter

- Strong verbal and e-communication

- Working knowledge of HR and hiring practices

- Familiar with sanitation standards and procedures

- Experience with restaurant apps and software, Opentable, web maintenance

- Confidence - this is hard work! You must believe in yourself and your ability to help others.

Duties:

- Your number one job is to give great service! Every guest deserves a warm experience. We are a family owned restaurant that serves our community with pride

- Nurture and lead our floor staff. Our people are amazing and deserve a thoughtful leader

- Line-ups every shift, table touching, getting ahead of problems

- Being the Maitre' D, managing reservations and waitlist along with the host

- Following through on service and staffing issues. Showing a united front with your fellow managers regarding disciplinary action

- Work with chefs and fellow managers to run a great shift. 86's, specials, staffing call outs, cutting staff on slower shifts.

- Menu changes, website and POS updates

- Keeping the restaurant clean, organized and well stocked

- Communication with vendors, ordering product, managing invoice submission

- Hourly management shifts are between 6-8 hours, 4-5 days/week

- Weekends and holidays are a MUST

Bonus points:

- Experience ordering - packaging, beverage, office supplies

- You want to own your own bar or restaurant one day

- Working knowledge of classic cocktails

- Maitre' D or hosting experience at a well-run place (it makes a difference!)
