We are Good To Eat Taiwanese Cuisine located in Emeryville close to West Berkeley. It's a chef-led indie restaurant, also women and queer led business operation, we serve taiwanese flavor inspired small plates menu. and proud to serve small-batch made craft food daily with hospitality that put the humanity back to our floor with our guests. We are a team of 12 with BOH and FOH together. we work closely and proud of what we do. now we are having a full time BOH position open and look for energetic new team member to join us . [About the Restaurant]
Good To Eat Taiwanese cuisine, started as a popup and had a lot of followers, after transforming to a restaurant (now 2 years) , we are listed as essential restaurant in east bay, on New York Time food critic column with full page, and selected as Bay area top 50 restaurant , we are a chef-driven, craft food small batch-made small plates restaurants and sake and beer bar.
[Hiring Servers] : Full Time. 4 days a week
WED-SAT 4:0010:15 or 10:30
Starting from prep and dinner time we will be working in line kitchen together.
Oftentime we have event on Sunday too.
Position open very soon in 2 weeks
We sincerely want to find a team member work with us for a longer term with us.
and hoping to find a team member curious and exciting about cooking good food and love learning new stuff.
This position will require professional kitchen experience (with basic prep speed, and work in line kitchen before)
for at least one year. able to stand for 8 hours and able to lift 40 lb .
Compensation:
- paid per shift or per hour . this position share tips . we are a pool tips house. BOH and FOH work tightly together.
- Hourly rate / or per shift rate will based on your experiences
- Staff meal, staff discount, shift drink (including beer)
- After tips the pay range from $28$34

Qualifications
Professional experience required - 1 year at least .
Authorized to work here in this country. Due to our diverse background, our work communication language will be English.
please note this is NOT an entry level position.
if you do not have much experience, and if you really like what we do and want to become one of us please anticipate you will have a big learning curve and when you apply please specify why you would like to join us and what's your plan to overcome the basic requirement gap.
It will be ideal if you aware of the differences of indie restaurant , chef-driven type of the place, versus corporate or chain store service.
