Heirloom Café is seeking a highly motivated individual who would like to join our front of house team. Since we opened in 2010, our focus has been to provide fresh food, fine wine and stellar service. We serve simple, seasonal food in a comfortable setting, and offer a variety of wines from a carefully managed cellar. The wines reflect this focus on simplicity with a robust collection of French, Italian and California wines, as well as other regions.
Ideally, I am looking for someone who has experience as a server and is looking to expand their knowledge of wine. The primary focus of this role is working as a server 4 nights a week. However, I would love to find someone who wants to grow into a Wine Program Assistant. In addition to an extensive by-the-glass and cellar program, we also have a large wine club, host winemaker dinners, construct email offers, and are looking to provide wine courses. Eventually, this position will assist in all facets of our wine program and get to attend industry tastings. Some previous wine knowledge, such as a familiarity with wine regions and grape varietals, is a plus. Do note, this job will require you to carry cases of wine up and down a flight of steps on a regular basis.
Pay is hourly plus tips, with benefits available for full-time employees.
