Diamond Creek Vineyards is seeking a seasonal intern to join our production staff for harvest.
Diamond Creek Vineyards is an iconic Napa Valley estate with a long history of making some of California’s most revered Single-Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons. All of our wines are grown and produced on our small Diamond Mountain estate. The Diamond Creek Vineyard is only 21 acres, divided into four distinct parcels with related but unique terroirs. For more than 50 years these wines have enjoyed an outsized profile despite their tiny production levels.
We need a hard worker to provide late summer/fall harvest help in the vineyard and winery. Collaborate directly with the winemaker and vineyard team. Be involved in every step of the process, from fruit monitoring to harvest to crush, fermentation, pressing, and barrel work. This is old-school, low-tech winemaking at its finest.
Duties may include:
vineyard projects
grape maturity sampling
harvesting and sorting fruit
cellar and equipment cleaning
fermentation monitoring and management
barrel work
Ideal Qualifications:
able to start in early September and work through October at a minimum
able to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders and walk steep hillside vineyards
learns quickly, can follow instructions and is not afraid to ask questions
has previous winery experience
has reliable transportation
Employment Details:
$22-$24 per hour + overtime (DOE)
September through October, with a potentially flexible end date
