We are a small Asian inspired popcorn business looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Farmer's Market Sales Associate!
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and break down the market booth, ensuring products are displayed attractively and the space is clean and organized.
- Engage with customers, answering questions about our produce and products.
- Handle transactions using a cash register or POS system, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Maintain knowledge of our offerings, including product sourcing, seasonality, and farming practices.
- Assist with stocking, inventory management, and restocking as needed throughout the day.
- Promote a positive shopping experience by providing exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of products.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in sales, customer service, or working in a farmer’s market setting is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be available to work weekends and early morning hours. Additional hours are offered for Tuesday and Friday markets as well.
- Reliable transportation to and from the market location.
