1 Catering Cook :

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Catering Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing large quantities of food for events and gatherings, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation meet the highest standards. You will play a key role in executing menus for various catering events, from corporate meetings to weddings and private parties. The Catering Cook must be organized, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook food for catering events based on specific menu requirements, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.

Manage kitchen operations during event preparation, including food prep, cooking, and post-event cleanup.

Collaborate with catering team to understand event details, dietary restrictions, and special requests.

Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are met, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation of ingredients.

Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment, ensuring that items are ordered and restocked as needed.

Assist in menu planning and suggesting creative and innovative meal options for events.

Monitor cooking times and temperatures, ensuring all dishes are prepared and cooked properly.

Work efficiently under pressure to ensure food is ready for timely service during events.

Assist with special requests for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies.

Support kitchen staff in training and sharing knowledge regarding culinary techniques and safety standards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a catering or banquet setting.

Strong culinary skills with a broad knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.

Food Safety handlers card mandatory

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other kitchen staff.

Creativity in preparing and presenting food for large groups.

Flexible schedule to accommodate catering events that may take place evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Hours - Morning to Afternoon - Monday- Friday

Can cook, bake and follow recipes. Is comfortable leading a team of other prep cooks and able to be on time with production.

Driving is a plus, as we are delivering to locations all over San Francisco. Reliable and Organized.

Restaurant Line cook :

Night Shift Wednesday thru Saturday.

Experienced Cook who is friendly, Organized, and efficient. Experience with Mexican food always helps or the willingness to learn. Able to follow recipes exactly. Able to expedite and run the kitchen while cooking.
