Welcome to Mangia Nosh Catering company! We are looking to hire front of house catering staff which includes servers and bartenders. Our company is located in Novato, California and we work all throughout the Bay Area. We cater to weddings, large galas, birthday parties, baby showers, dinner parties, graduation parties, celebration of life events, bat mitzvah celebrations, holiday parties and much, much more. Our clientele expects delicious food, gorgeous presentation, and a seamless experience.
We would love a candidate with experience in the catering, hospitality, or food and beverage industry, but would also welcome someone willing to learn.
Job Responsibilities:
-Sets up and breaks down chairs, tables, and buffet.
-Sets up the front line with the equipment, plateware, and smallware’s needed to effectively serve all food products.
-Loads and unloads plates, silverware, and other service equipment.
-Serves courses, clears dishware, and ensure that guests dining needs are taken care of.
-Keeps serving stations restocked throughout the event.
-Maintains guest tables and serving stations according to client specifications and procedures.
-Assists other catering staff as needed to optimize the guests’ dining experience.
-Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift.
-Reports any unsafe condition, unsafe act, accidents and/or injuries to the manager on duty.
Qualifications / Skills:
-Ability to lift 50-75 pounds and stay comfortable on their feet for the entire shift
-Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
-Positive attitude and teamwork skills
-Great Customer Service and Professionalism
-Self-motivated with a high energy level
-Good Verbal communication
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
-High school diploma
-Hospitality-related kitchen or front-of-the-house experience preferred, but not required
-Current California food handler’s card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law (Can be obtained at a later date, however we cannot book you for an event until certificate is received)
- California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification (optional and can acquired later)
