Job Summary:
Provides clean restaurant wares for front of house and back of house departments. Dishwashers maintain a clean, safe and organized work space for all back of house staff to utilize. Assists to maintain clean restaurant grounds.
Responsibilities:
Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Follows all state department of health rules and regulations are followed.
Ensures work areas are kept clean at all times. Including taking out trash as needed.
Empties trash and spot sweeps whenever floor needs it or upon manager’s request. Performs opening and closing responsibilities in a timely and detailed manner. Restocks and prepares supplies for shift change or close.
Keeps all dishes, silverware and all other FOH items clean and in proper organized locations.
Does kitchen food prep as needed or plate preparation and follows all proper food safety guidelines.
Maintains clean and organized shelves for all BOH small wares.
Pre-rinses all items before entering the dish machine to pro-long the waters life. Refreshes dish machine water as needed and removes waste from drain guards. Washes racks of silverware before they become too full to avoid dirty pieces
Does daily, weekly and monthly cleaning projects (stainless equipment, walls, floors etc)
Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
Holds self to a higher standard, being a role model at all times.
Works with a high sense of urgency at all times.
Must maintain personal hygiene in accordance to state Health Department standards for Food
Service Employees.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manager or lead-on-duty.
Skills Required:
Demonstrates knowledge and ability to execute company standards Restaurant experience preferred.
Must be able to read and communicate in English.
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
Works days, nights, and/or weekends as required.
Work in a noisy, fast paced environment with distraction conditions. Move about the restaurant and standing for long periods of time. Read and write handwritten notes.
Reach, bend, stoop and wipe frequently.
