Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at our Residential Care Facility for the Elderly. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious and delicious meals for our residents in accordance with their dietary requirements. The cook will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare meals according to dietary needs and restrictions
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
- Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met
- Other duties as assigned by the management
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and ability to prepare meals accordingly
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Certification in food handling and safety is a plus
