Safari West is a privately owned wildlife preserve and guest resort. We offer daily Safari Tours, overnight accommodations, breakfast, lunch and dinner plus special group events.
We are looking for a hard-working, customer service-orientated Cook to join our Safari West Savannah Grill Kitchen Team. This position is full-time, but slows down during the winter months, especially January and February. The hours are usually from 12pm - 8:30pm.
Candidates must love working with people, have excellent guest service skills, be dependable and have reliable transportation. Candidates must be detail orientated as well as have a passion for cooking! Must have the ability to maintain a safe and clean environment. A minimum of two to four years’ restaurant experience is needed.
The Cook is responsible for preparing meals and needs to be able to cook for large events and interface with the event and reservation staff on a regular basis. Prefer applicants to be experienced at ordering, as well as portion control. Flexibility in our restaurant is imperative. Working weekends and holidays are required.
All recommended safety protocol followed.
Bonus Qualifications:
Knowledge of local health departments, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
Food handler certificate required and may be taken on the job.
