Sales/Account Manager
Twelve Top Catering is hiring and we’re looking for an experienced and results-driven Sales/Account Manager to join our chef driven group of companies. As a Sales/Account Manager, you will play a key role in driving revenue through the sale of catering services for corporate and private events. You will be responsible for building this position essentially from the ground up. We are looking for someone who is ready to make this position their own and build an awesome program with like-minded individuals.
The ideal candidate should have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the catering industry.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve catering revenue targets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive sales efforts
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential customers
Respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and negotiate contracts for catering services
Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to ensure successful event execution
Conduct site visits and tastings for potential clients
Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions
Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to showcase catering service
Develop promotional materials and campaign
Ensure all sales agreements and functions contracts entered into Total Party Planner with the clients are communicated to other departments to assure guest satisfaction
Possess outstanding leadership, organizational skills, strong yield and revenue management skills, excellent written and verbal communications, a guest service focus, a team orientation and a passion for sales. In addition to your selling skills, we need creativity, motivation and dedication for this position
Communicate regularly with key wedding/event planners, social contacts, and other industry support. Establish account information. Call on major contacts (personally or phone).
Provide accurate and concise information to all departments with regard to group needs. These documents include Banquet Event Orders, Resumes and Internal Communications.
Review event bills for accuracy, and approve payment.
Conduct post-event evaluations in order to determine how future events could be improved.
Requirements and Skills
Proven experience in catering sales or a related sales role
Strong sales and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; highly organized
Knowledge of catering industry trends, pricing, and customer preferences
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Familiarity with Total Party Planner software
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
Creativity and problem-solving skills to tailor offerings to client needs
A genuine love of food, service, and hospitality
