Baron's Quality Meats is a traditional butcher shop in Alameda. We have been in Alameda for 20 years.

We are looking to expand our team with Meat Cutters and Counter Help.

compensation: $20-$25 (Plus Tips ($5-$7 plus per hour) Depending on Experience, Med/Dent/401K after 90 days

75 Hours Paid Time Off

Job Title: Butcher/Cashier

Salary to be determined by experience and skills (($25-$33 Total) (Hourly Plus Tips))

Part-time and Full-time positions are available

We strive to provide our customers with the finest products available, and the best customer service experience possible.

Duties to include but not limited to:

Greeting and waiting on customers as well as checking them out through the cash register

Portioning, Weighing, Packaging, Vacuum Sealing, Labeling Meat.

Receive, unload, and put away product deliveries.

Understand and protect food safety.

Assist with cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, tools, and equipment.

Ensure all cases and shelves are clean and well-stocked.

Daily butchering; Setting up and breaking down display cases

Perform duties related to the cutting and preparation of beef, pork, lamb, poultry, sausages, and ready-to-cook products.

Follow store procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking products.

With experience, you will operate electric meat saws, grinders, and other meat processing equipment.

Maintaining high safety sanitation standards.

Qualifications:

Experienced in retail and food service with good knife skills.

A positive attitude, be reliable, organized.

You have flexible schedule including weekends, and holidays as needed.

You should be able to stand for up at least 5 hours/day

You should be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment

Food Service Handlers Card necessary
