Touro University California is currently looking for healthy volunteers to enroll in a research study to help better understand how the body processes dietary sugars.
The study consists of a screening visit (1hr) and 2 separate test days (8hrs each; 1-2 wks apart) at the Metabolic Research Center on the Touro University California campus on Mare Island in Vallejo. You may receive a copy of your test results and $440 for completing all visits.
To be eligible:
Adult volunteers, 20-55 years old
Not taking diabetes or lipid-lowering medication
No history of diabetes, HIV, cancer, kidney, or liver disease
Women should not be pregnant or nursing
A clinic screening and blood draw will determine final eligibility.
