Are you thinking about cutting back on your drinking?
If Yes, then you may be eligible to participate in this research trial.
We are studying a medical device that is being developed to help reduce alcohol cravings and consumption.
To participate, you will need to:
Be 21 years old or older
Complete a screening interview for Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)
Use a transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) device twice daily for 12 weeks
Answer questions daily about your alcohol cravings and the amount you’ve been drinking
Come to the San Francisco VA Medical Center for 3 office visits and attend one phone/video visit
Give a finger-stick blood sample at 3 office visits.
To compensate for your time and effort, you will be paid via prepaid Visa™ debit cards.
