We are seeking a kind, reliable live-in household manager and companion for our active 70-year-old mom in San Francisco (94115). Her current helper is retiring and this position is available starting Oct 1. Qualified applicants can read more about the role and apply here: https://forms.gle/Jg22ZZL7jSEkfE6T6
About mom: She originally trained as an architect and ran a successful architecture firm with our father, who passed away a few years ago. She is also a writer and has published two books. Mom has had Parkinson's disease for 17 years but remains quite independent. Her typical day includes breakfast and email, an exercise class, errands or a walk or meal with a friend, reading, house projects, and trying new recipes. She loves the outdoors and usually walks 2–3 miles daily. She is very organized and keeps a detailed calendar, so while her schedule varies week to week, she communicates upcoming appointments and weekend trips well in advance.
Time commitment: 30–40 hours per week, with two days off (currently Weds/Fri, but negotiable). Most tasks occur during daytime hours, with a few nights per week of evening responsibilities, and occasional weekends.
Both of mom's adult children are local - one is a doctor in San Francisco and the other is a software engineer in Oakland. She has one two-year-old grandson and another on the way!
Daily responsibilities:
Household tasks (tidying, laundry, organizing)
Dinner prep 3-4x/week (more if you enjoy cooking)
Washing dishes & keeping the kitchen clean
Errands (groceries, pharmacy, household items)
Driving mom (in her car) to appointments and evening social events
Basic tech help (iPhone, Apple computer, Google docs, TV remote controls)

Other projects and tasks:
Weekly setup of pill box
Assistance with emails and bills
Organizing and digitizing files
