Synergy Learning Systems is seeking intelligent, personable, and versatile staff for our Challenge Ropes Course located in the redwoods of Santa Cruz. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced and changing environment. Prior ropes course or climbing experience are welcome, but not required. We provide an 8 hour, paid training for new staff. NOTE: The training will be on Wednesday, May 29th. Please do not apply if you are unable to make the training date.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Oversee the physical and emotional well-being of participants at all times
-Effective execution of course operations and procedures
-Course maintenance
-Other duties as assigned by Course Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
-Minimum 18 years of age
-Basic First Aid/CPR certification will be required by date of training
-Ability to climb, walk, balance, and carry loads up to 50 lbs
-Ability to work in varied environmental conditions
-Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
-Challenge course/High and low ropes
-Team-building initiatives and games
-Proven ability to safely manage groups in high risk activities

Taking Applications: 5/6-5/13
Interviewing: 5/8-5/17
Final Decisions Made By: 5/24
Training Date: Wednesday, May 29th (please do not apply if you are unavailable to attend the training)
First Course: 5/30, 6/5, 6/7, or 6/11 (this will be your shadow-day on a real course following the training)
WORK AVAILABLE:
Part-time, sporadic work available year-round - on average 10-20 hours/month.
COMPENSATION:
Starting pay $20.00+/hour DOE with opportunities for regular increases
