ProStruct Engineering is seeking a motivated Structural Engineering Intern to assist with quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) tasks for engineering deliverables produced by our drafting team. This role offers hands-on experience in QA/QC processes, valuable mentorship, and exposure to real-world structural engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Conduct QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables, including structural specifications (SSS data), roof line alignment, general notes, design specs, and write-ups. (2) Verify basic compliance with applicable codes and standards for seismic, wind, and other design values. (3) Identify discrepancies, errors, or areas for improvement and provide detailed feedback. (4) Collaborate closely with the senior engineer to refine review processes. (5) Incorporate design and specification updates into final deliverables. (6) Prepare summary reports documenting findings and required corrections.
