Preschool Teacher (Part Time) - Burlingame

We are looking for a Part Time Teacher for our 2-3 year old children who can work in the morning session. The hours are from 8:00am – 1:00pm, with a few afternoon sessions in the schoolyear.

Since 1964, First Presbyterian Church Preschool has been providing superior preschool education in the Bay Area. We provide a Christian, play-based, developmentally appropriate program for children ages two to five years old. We value creativity and allow each child to develop naturally in a caring, kind and respectful environment. We offer part time and extended day programs. We have a spacious, safe and well-maintained facility both indoors and outdoors. There are many materials available to the teachers to use in their classrooms. We are a block away from Broadway Avenue in Burlingame.

Here are the qualifications we desire:

- 3+ Experience with children in the Early Childhood Age-group

- 12 ECE units (ECE Certificate or AS Degree or higher preferred)

- Be a team player. Flexible ro the needs of the group.

- Have initiative and passion to teach the children.

- Creativity in creating activities, Independent worker, and offer consistent high-quality work to create a superior program.

- Be positive and welcoming. Have a warm and supportive attitude towards children, parents and co-workers.

- Lead by example. Is reliable and flexible in receiving assignments and adapting to changes in the program.

- Communicate effectively with children and staff.

- CPR/First Aid Certification

Available the week of August 12 for some shadowing in the summer classroom and the last week of August for Parent Orientation and meetings.
