Part-time Teaching Assistant:
Tierra Pacifica Charter School is looking for a part-time assistant teacher who has experience working with families and a passion for childhood education.
Teaching Assistant: 19.45 Hours per week (Mon - Fri) $20.60/per hour
Start date: March 4th, 2024
Length of work: 3 months (March - May 2024)
About Tierra Pacifica Charter School
Tierra Pacifica is a public charter school located in Santa Cruz, California serving students in grades TK-8. Our school was founded in 1998 by a dedicated group of parents, teachers and community members invested in creating a school that addressed different learning styles, social/emotional development, and collaborative learning.
TPCS is seeking passionate and creative individuals committed to providing high-quality education interwoven with a social justice lens. Many of our school staff, and some parents, are in the beginning stages of disrupting systems of racialized oppression at our school. We are looking for someone who shares our philosophy of learning and commitment to engaging in antiracist pedagogy. You will be joining a team of dedicated TK-8 teachers and staff members who have been working together in an alternative, multi-age, parent participation public school environment. TPCS teachers are strong collaborators, skilled communicators, problem solvers, committed to anti-racist teaching and to practicing reflexivity.
