Title: After-School Coordinator and Supervisor.
Position: Non-Exempt
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, throughout the school year, excepting school holidays and breaks. Candidates must be able to consistently stay until 6 p.m. everyday.
Full-time / Part-time Options: For well-qualified candidates this position may be scheduled as a full-time or part-time position. The minimum is 5 hours each weekday. The maximum is 7 hours each weekday.
Salary Range:
From $25-$35 per hour.
Final compensation depends on years of relevant After-School experience, professional references, and additional skills such as competency with online-system and school-related tech programs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must:
Be high-energy, exceptionally responsible and well-organized individuals who are able to adapt quickly and when plans or circumstances change.
Have the ability to remain standing and moving for the majority of the workday.
Have the ability to comfortably lift up to 40 pounds.
Have strong computer skills.
Have excellent personal skills and the ability to work effectively and professionally with colleagues, families, and after-school program providers.
Some leadership experience working with small teams and the ability to anticipate / manage issues that may occur.
Extensive experience working with students ages 4 to 14 in a school, recreation program, or similar setting.
The ability to communicate easily and fluently in spoken and written English.
Be high school graduates and, ideally, already have or be working towards a bachelor’s degree related to working in education or with young people.
PRIMARY SKILLS, QUALITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Our After-School Coordinator position is ideal for an energetic, highly responsible, and well-organized person who loves working with Jr. Kindergarten-Grade 8 students and families, and who would enjoy working in a warm and collegial private school setting. The ideal candidate will already have or be working towards an undergraduate degree in education or child development, and will have substantial experience working in schools, summer camps, or youth program settings. All candidates must have excellent references who can speak to their capabilities working with children and in schools or similar environments.
The After-School Coordinator is the lead person ensuring that our After-School program runs smoothly and safely. Responsibilities include planning hands-on activities for students in the program (e.g. arts, crafts, games), interacting with parents, proactively looking for ways to improve the program and to promptly bringing concerns to the attention of school leaders. The coordinator's foremost role is ensuring that students in After-School are safe and that the school's safety protocols are followed scrupulously by all members of the team.
The After-School Coordinator is also responsible for handling billing for After-School care and for managing and scheduling assorted After-School vendors who offer clubs and classes. Depending on the Coordinator's schedule - full or parttime - they will be assigned other duties during the school day, such as supervising students at lunch and during recess, supporting teachers in the classroom, or helping in the office.
Strong tech skills are essential. Candidates do not need to know or have experience with all systems we use, but they must demonstrate the ability to capable learn and employ them.
