We are seeking a new team member for our infant-toddler room, to be the primary caregiver for young toddlers approximately 14 -20 months old.
Qualifications:
Minimum 12 ECE units, including 3 Infant Toddler units with a preference for AA in Early Childhood Development or ECE certificate.
1 year experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting.
California Child Development Teacher's Permit, (or apply within one month of hire).
Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certificates (or obtain within one month of hire).
Able to be physically active, lift up to 30 pounds chest high; bend, kneel & sit on floor, for working with children.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Strong inter-personal communication skills.
A passion for working with infants
Strong team teaching, child engagement, and family engagement skills.
Experience with child assessment and baby sign language preferred.
Excellent English (spoken & written).
Other Requirements Include:
Maintain a professional and friendly attitude.
Actively promote the preschool's philosophy and mission.
Follow all licensing and NAEYC accreditation regulations and guidance in the classroom.
Mandated Reporter.
Pass health and TB screening and Department of Justice fingerprint clearance.
Take Infectious Disease Prevention training (to be completed within one month of hire).
Continue ongoing training during the course of employment. (Workshops; paid leadership training and growth opportunities are provided during paid in-service teacher days.)
