WANTED - Experienced Driving Instructors
We are currently looking for experienced Driving School Instructors that already have a "Driving Instructor License" from DMV.
Danville Driving School with over 30-years of experience is hiring motivated individuals to become Driving Instructors teaching teens and adults in the Diablo Valley. If you're interested to make a difference in teen and adult lives by teaching a "life-skill" and are looking for an enjoyable full-time or part-time position with flexible hours, this may be a great fit for you We are currently hiring for weekends and weekday (start at 12-7pm), and after school hours. We serve students in the Tri-Valley areas of Lafayette, Walnut Creek, Alamo, Danville, San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore.
You will work with students learning to drive to obtain their driver's license. The ideal candidate can create lesson plans and give constructive feedback to each student. In this role, you also
facilitate hands-on driving with students behind the wheel, monitoring their progress and helping
them put driving concepts and defensive driving into practice. You should be an experienced driver yourself, with the
ability to exhibit patience and follow the rules of law enforcement.
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
A Licensed Driving Instructor in the State of California thru DMV with a clean CA Driver's License.
At least 25-years old.
Strong people skills with an interest to instruct teens and adults.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Valid CA Driver's License and clean driving record.
Smartphone (iOS or Android)
Successfully pass background and drug test.
Pass a physical exam.
Have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
Teach practical driving skills
Provide direction on the rules of the road
Assist students in developing confidence
Gain control of the vehicle during emergency situations
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Whose car do I use for driving lessons?
We provide a company car for all driving lessons and cover all gas, travel and Maintenace expense. All cars equipped with dual brake system.
How Do Driving Instructors Get Paid?
You will be paid hourly. Your pay is based on the number of hours you spend providing students hands-on driving experience.
