San Carlos - Belmont After School is a small business in San Carlos, CA. We are professional, agile, innovative and our goal is to welcome highly creative individuals that enjoy working with children. We work together as a team to provide a safe, comfortable, and fun environment.
We are looking for experienced teachers and aides to join our team. We operate four after school sites in San Carlos and two in Belmont where we teach children in grades TK-5 (ages 4-10). For teachers, this position is from 12-6pm Monday to Friday with additional morning hours from 7-8:30 or 7:30-9:30. For teacher aides, this position is from 2-6 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 12-6 on Wednesday. We also run a full day program during the summer Monday through Friday 7:30am-6:00pm.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, monitoring the safety of the children, and providing emotional support to the children in their care. We are looking for someone who is patient, organized, and has excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Organize and implement age-appropriate activities to engage children.
Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
Assist in the development of lesson plans and activities.
Provide guidance to children in a positive manner.
Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress.
Ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
Job Type: Part-time and Full-time
Hours:
Teacher aides: 2-6 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 12-6 on Wednesday
Teachers: 12-6 with the possibility for additional morning shift hours
Pay:
Teacher aides: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
Teachers: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
