Ohana Aquatics Swim School is looking for a friendly detail oriented Check-in Manager for our year round swim school. Our heated pool is outdoor during the Spring/Summer seasons. Indoor with a dome tent that keeps everyone warm and protected through late Fall/Winter seasons.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate and enforce our policies to customers and staff in a helpful way
- Greet students and families while checking them in for their lesson
- Announce the start and end of class to all on the pool deck
- Place students with teachers, inform teacher of student swim level
- Take attendance with a software scheduling program on the computer
- Manage enquiries regarding swim lessons and pool policies
- Communicate with our scheduling manager by communicating all updates and changes
- Understand the registration process how to sign up for lessons
- Work seamlessly with other office and pool staff as a team member
- Strong confident leadership skills with a take charge attitude
- Perform opening and closing procedures
- Keep pool facility in top shape, deck tidy, bathroom checks
Hours of Operation: (Flexible shifts)
Monday - Friday 2:00pm-7:30pm - Year round
Saturday - 8:30am-2:00pm - Year round
Sunday - Closed
The shift is 5-6 hours a day. Flexible part-time work range is 2-4 days a week.
Work Days Currently Most Needed:
Wednesday and Thursday 2:30pm - 7:30pm
Saturday is a must, 8:15am-2:15pm
Personal/Professional Skills:
- Excellent customer service; ability to listen and provide good service
- Confident self starter attitude with a solution oriented mindset
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Professional attitude, Reliable and Punctual
- Calm and able to act quickly for staff and customers with on the spot issues or changes that may arise
- Excellent Communication as the voice for our teachers, students and parents needs explained to our scheduling manager
Bonus Experience:
- Worked in childcare, summer camp, children's activity, sports, or scholastic environment
- Joy for working with children and families
- Are or have been CPR certified, have or had First Aid

Our pool is tucked away in the Oakland Hills on a large estate with tons of safe free parking. All year the pool is heated to a cozy 89-90 degrees. Summer months are sunny blue skies amongst forest trees with a view of the SF Bay.
