Bay Ship & Yacht Co., is a modern shipyard located on the waterfront of San Francisco Bay. We provide dry-docking and repair services to commercial and government vessels, including tugboats, ferries, Coast Guard cutters, cruise ships, pilot boats, yachts, and marine vessels of all kinds. For over 30 years we have been regarded as one of the West Coast’s premiere shipyards. Bay Ship is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and hard-working Receiving Clerk to serve as the primary conduit by which shipments arrive at our facility and then are distributed.
Duties for the position include, but are not limited to:
Receiving, inspecting for damage, and signing for all incoming packages.
Entering the deliveries into Fusion.
Organizing, lifting and moving goods, using dolly, forklift or other means, to assigned locations.
Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods.
Delivering some shipped goods out to the shipyard and office in a timely manner.
Securing signatures of those taking delivery of the packages.
Creating shipping labels for outgoing packages with UPS website.
Always maintaining a safe work environment for everyone.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position.
Attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
Excellent organizational skills.
Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data and communicating.
Excellent communication, oral and written, and interpersonal abilities.
The ability to lift 70 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Fusion Software.
