About Us: The Tower Association is a premier residential building committed to providing exceptional service and security to our residents and guests. We pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming and safe environment, and we are looking for a dedicated Part Time Doorman to join our team.

Position Summary: The Doorman will be responsible for greeting and assisting residents and guests, ensuring the security of the building, and maintaining a clean and orderly entrance area. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently.

Hours: Saturday 8 am to 4 pm and Every other Sunday from 8 am to 4 pm

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting and Welcoming Guests:

1. Warmly greet and welcome guests and residents upon their arrival.

2. Open doors for guests and assist with entry.

Security and Surveillance:

1. Monitor entrances and exits to ensure security.

2. Check identification or access credentials of individuals entering the building (e.g., contractors, vendors).

3. Report any suspicious activity to management.

Assisting with Luggage and Packages:

1. Help guests and residents with carrying luggage and packages.

2. Coordinate with delivery personnel for package receipt and storage.

Maintaining the Entrance Area:

1. Keep the entrance, lobby, and surrounding areas clean and tidy.

2. Arrange for maintenance of the entrance area as needed.

Providing Information and Directions:

1. Provide information about the building, its amenities, and nearby attractions or services.

2. Direct guests and residents to the appropriate areas within the building.

Managing Deliveries:

1. Receive and log packages, mail, and other deliveries.

2. Notify residents of received packages and coordinate delivery or pickup.

Assisting with Transportation:

1. Arrange for taxis, rideshares, or other transportation services for guests and residents.

2. Assist with loading and unloading from vehicles.

Responding to Inquiries and Requests:

1. Address inquiries and requests from residents and guests promptly and courteously.

2. Coordinate with other staff members to fulfill requests.

Maintaining Records:

1. Keep logs of package deliveries.

2. Record any incidents or unusual activities.

Emergency Response:

1. Assist in evacuations or other emergency procedures.

2. Provide support and information during emergencies.

Communicating with Management:

1. Report any issues or concerns to building management.

2. Coordinate with management regarding resident or guest needs and building operations.

Upholding Building Policies:

1. Enforce building policies and procedures.

2. Ensure that all guests and residents adhere to building rules.

Supporting Other Staff Members:

1. Collaborate with maintenance and other staff to ensure smooth building operations.

2. Provide backup support during busy periods.

Professional Appearance and Conduct:

1. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

2. Uphold the building's standards for customer service and hospitality.

Performing Additional Duties:

1. Carry out any other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the building.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Previous experience in a customer service or security role preferred.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

6. Professional appearance and demeanor.

7. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items if necessary.
