We are a last mile delivery company seeking to hire a part time Assistant Operations Manager. The AOM is the core, on-the-ground leader who runs day-to-day operations, this includes managing a team of 20+ (and growing!) workers.
Responsibilities:
Recruits, hires, and trains new workers and delivery drivers
Plans and schedules worker shifts on a weekly basis
Manages worker performance, enforces policies, and provides feedback as necessary
Reviews performance metrics (e.g., errors, late deliveries) and identifies root cause
Responds to worker and customer inquiries to resolves issues
Manages relationships with clients (e.g., volume projections, errors, process improvements)
Recommends new policies and procedure to improve operations
Implements process improvement initiatives
Skills
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to review data, identify issues, and make recommendations
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Previous warehouse, operations, or people management experience
Comfort delivering frequent direct oral feedback
Nice to have skill
Proficiency in Spanish
Proficiency in Google Sheets.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position, the job requires to be on site the following hours:
Sunday (3:30pm-8:30pm)
Monday (5:30am-8:30am)
Compensation
$500-$750 Weekly (20-25 hours per week)
