Senior Accountant Role Description

This is a full-time, in office, role for a Senior Accountant located in Petaluma, CA. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day to day accounting tasks such as review & analysis of reimbursable expenditures, job costing and labor allocations, preparation of monthly invoices, AR and GL account reconciliations and asset management. They will also assist with grant management, support month end close, assist with financial reporting, and maintain and update financial records and databases.

Senior Accountant Qualifications

Strong proficiency with MS Excel and knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and revenue recognition accounting

Grant accounting experience strongly preferred

Job costing experience

Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Three years minimum experience

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and financial statements as they pertain to job costing and grant accounting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and managers

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

Experience in the renewable energy industry a plus

Salary for this Role: $90,000. Our salaries are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
