Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews and organizes financial information & tax documents provided by clients
Analyzes financial & tax information provided and creates data-centric reports
Communicates report findings and assumptions made during preparation
Collaborates with colleagues and managers to build knowledge and skillset
Proactively participates in company meetings and learning opportunities
Essential Skills and Background
At least 1-2 years of prior accounting and/or tax experience
Experience with tax preparation (ex. Form 1040, Form 1120, Form 1065, Form K-1) is required to assist in document analysis
Education background in Accounting or similar
Forensic Accounting experience or education background a plus
Must answer complex accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data and communicating the findings with the client
A high level of proficiency in working with financial statements and tax documents
A self-starter who is comfortable with working independently and asking questions
Tax preparation and/or reviewing experience with complex individual, corporate or partnerships preferred
Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
Demonstrates strong communication skills
Affinity for working in a small & growing business environment
Personable, dependable & prompt
Comfortable with deadlines and dynamic work environment
Benefits & Pay
This position can pay between $35-$50/hour depending on experience, plus monthly & annual bonus opportunities
