Job Title: AR Specialist/refund experts

Department: Hospitality

Reports to: Hotel manager

FSLA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY

Ensures timely and accurate processing of hotel guest payments and refund cancellation request from guests daily and maintains accurate records and control reports. Responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information for Project and Managers. Acts as liaison between corporate accounting office and field operations. Works independently with minimal supervision, relying on direct instructions, pre-established guidelines and experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform the functions of the job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complies with OTA cancellation policies

Sends communication and take details notes and records of transactions of charges

Complete daily Accounts Receivable charges of all the new bookings and pending arrivals 48 hours ahead of time and daily

Performs collection, posting and refund of cancellation of guest payments Sends email and record refund and charge details.

Assists PM with Annual operations and capital expenditure budgets.

Handles collections for all guests reservation and process refunds timely on the same day

Created detailed communication email0 receipts to refunded guests for record keeping.

Obtain proper (pre-established) approvals on all refund guests.

Will review all charges and refunds daily to assure detailed records and sent through OTA partners for records.

Responsible for the proper usage and reconciliation of all cancellation and charges.

Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.

5 to 10 years of related experience highly preferred.

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Proactive and deadline oriented.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.

Must interact effectively with all levels of employees and external contacts.

Must work well under pressure, exercise good judgment when making decisions and handle stressful situations in a mature, professional manner.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Suite.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree and at least four (5) years of related training or experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), internet, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.). Knowledge of database and real estate property management applications.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to comprehend and compose complex instructions, correspondence, and reports. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

REASONING ABILITY:

Significant analytical skills in order to solve a variety of complex problems and deal with variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job is primarily performed in an home office environment with a moderate noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect inside and outside areas of the property location and may be exposed to on-going construction and various weather conditions. PT position open for afternoon to early evening and weekends

Job Type: PT or Full time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour depends on experiences
