We are a small business that services boats in the marinas of Alameda, Berkeley,
Emeryville, Sausalito and San Francisco and we have 50 customers who need service
every 2-3 months depending on their schedule.
We are looking for a detail-oriented bookkeeper with knowledge of QuickBooks for 10
hours a month at $30 per hour.
- Keep schedule of 50 customers (currently managed in Google Sheets, open to better scheduling system)
- Add new customers to the schedule and remove ones who no longer use service
- Contact customers via email/text to confirm service
- Coordinate with the team to perform service
- Send invoice via QuickBooks for performed services
- Monitor payments
- Schedule service for next time (in 2-3 months)
- Reconcile monthly the bank account, credit card, PayPal and Venmo in
QuickBooks
- Provide P&L report to owner monthly
- Provide annual P&L to the company’s CPA for filing taxes
- Pay monthly business insurance
- Pay annual business license to the City of Alameda
- File CA State Statement of Information
- Other regulatory filings
- Keep archive of documents in Google Drive
If the bookkeeper in addition to speaking fluent English is also fluent in Portuguese that
would be a big plus for this position.
