ADMINISTRATIVE ACCOUNTANTING ASSISTANT TO THE BREEDER
Role purpose:
The purpose of the breeder assistant is to assist in roles of scientific practice in the creation of superior varietal genotypes and by supporting implementations of innovative breeding methods. This role is dedicated to plan and coordinate breeding as well as nursery activities across regions, supporting material selection for advancement by performing phenotyping tasks, data analysis, marker and predictive breeding technology.
Accountabilities:
Prepare technical reports or data summaries
Ability to communicate oral presentations to coworkers
Functions as a member of a project/product team
Gather data and ensure that appropriate trialing, phenotyping and analysis methods are used to enable program success
Provide oversight of field data collection, seed stock gathering, and trial related operational activities
Other clerical and accounting as required
Skills & experience:
BS in field biology, bioinformatics, agriculture, related fields of study
Experience in horses, livestock, retail banking, inventory work order management a plus
Advanced English and basic Spanish is required for this position
Ability to learn new concepts and apply them
Capacity and to work indoor and outdoor environments
Experience with R programing language
Ability to perform basic accounting tasks related to clone line and nursery inventories
