Associate Attorney

Description We are in search of an associate attorney to join our team based in Saratoga, California. As an associate attorney, you will play a crucial role in handling defense litigation cases, providing legal advice, and representing our clients effectively. This role offers an exciting opportunity in the legal industry.Responsibilities Represent clients in court effectively in defense litigation cases. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding defense litigation. Develop and implement defense strategies in litigation cases. Conduct extensive case research to support defense litigation. Collaborate with legal team members to handle defense litigation cases. Prepare and draft legal documents related to defense litigation. Maintain and manage client relationships effectively. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes in defense litigation. Comply with all legal standards and regulations related to defense litigation. Keep updated on the latest developments in defense litigation laws and regulations.Requirements Candidates must possess a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Applicants are required to have a current and valid license to practice law in the state. Prior experience in litigation, specifically defense, is a must. Demonstrated ability to independently manage a large caseload is necessary. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis is essential. Applicants should have excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to draft and argue motions effectively is required. Candidates should be capable of conducting and managing discovery, including taking and defending depositions. Experience in trial preparation and court appearances is needed. Ability to negotiate settlements and interact professionally with clients is a must. Candidates are expected to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using legal software for case management is necessary. Applicants should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion is required. Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills.
