Description We are seeking a highly competent bilingual Medical Patient Care Coordinator fluent in Spanish and English to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and providing high-quality patient care in a respectful, empathetic, and professional manner. Proficiency in speaking and understanding Spanish is crucial for effective communication with our Spanish-speaking patients.Responsibilities:

Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff, ensuring smooth communication and understanding.

Schedule and confirm patient appointments, surgeries, and medical consultations.

Provide interpretational support for Spanish-speaking patients and their families, helping them understand medical procedures, treatment plans, and doctor's instructions.

Assist with patient intake and collect patient information, maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPPA regulations.

Provide patients with information about healthcare services, costs, and insurance details in a language they understand.

Collaborate with the medical team to develop patient care plans and monitor patient progress.

Handle patient grievances with patience and professionalism, and escalate issues to the relevant authorities when necessary.

Assist patients with the paperwork and ensure patient records are up-to-date.

Follow-up with patients to ensure they understand post-treatment care instructions and answer any questions they may have.

Conduct patient satisfaction surveys to identify areas of improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social services, or a related field.

Proven experience in healthcare coordination or a similar role within a healthcare setting.

Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.

Strong understanding of medical terminology.

Excellent interpersonal and empathy skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Solid knowledge of healthcare procedures and regulations, including HIPPA.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

Proficiency in using healthcare software systems.

Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
