This position is not remote. We are looking for local candidates who can commute to Santa Monica, and want to be working at a buzzing, lively office every day.We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Operations Specialist to join our fast-growing tech startup in Santa Monica. This role requires a sharp eye for accuracy and an ability to handle processes such as refunds, disputes, and database adjustments. Candidates with an accounting background or experience working with financial processes are preferred, but in the end, we are looking for a bright, energetic, detail-oriented person to join our team and grow with us in this role.Key Requirement:If you do join the team, the work ethic you display would need to inspire my entire team, otherwise I will need to move on quickly. Process refunds and manage disputes, ensuring all steps are followed accurately.

Maintain and update our internal database, ensuring that records are accurate and up to date.

Collaborate with the customer success, sales, revenue, and operations teams to handle escalations and resolve issues.

Conduct financial reconciliations and support accounting-related processes.

Assist with cross-departmental communication to ensure operational processes are smooth and efficient.

Document, organize, and streamline workflows and processes to improve efficiency and support scaling operations.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions.

Provide support to internal teams, ensuring they have the operational resources needed to succeed.

Requirements

1-2 years of experience in an operational or administrative role, preferably with a focus on accounting, finance, or process management.

Strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy.

Ability to follow and refine structured processes.

Experience handling financial processes like refunds, disputes, or database adjustments.

Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, or other data management tools; experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho) is a plus.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment and contribute to the company’s growth.

A work ethic that inspires those around you—this is non-negotiable.

Preferred but Not Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.

Experience with dispute resolution or reconciliation processes.
