ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative andpatient care support to the Santa Monica Pediatrics clinic in the CommunityPhysician Network. Assist in coordinating patient flow throughout the clinic,from registration to discharge. Work as a member of the Ambulatory Care clinicteam to provide smooth outpatient flow resulting in optimum patientsatisfaction and clinic operation.QualificationsMinimum 2 year experience inworking in a fast pace clinic setting, preferably in a pediatrics/family practice/internalmedicine practice.Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with physicians and staffin a high volume setting.Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments.Skill in efficiently and accurately facilitating the appointment makingprocess, including transportation arrangements and maintain sub-specialtyphysician schedules.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate multipleappointments with staff from many clinical services at the UCLA Medical Center.Skill in using a PC with associated programs including Word, Excel, and E-mail.Demonstrated work experience with a database computer program.Knowledge of major medical insurance plans and types of coverage provided.Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems to complete on-linetransactions, including appointment scheduling, procedure scheduling, encounterregistration system, hospital lab results and medical reports.Knowledge of medical terminology.Excellent customer service skills are a must!Some half day Saturdays required.UCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
