Job title: Low Voltage / Data / Cable Technician
POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
We are currently hiring part-time employment / W9 independent contractor basis.
The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and willing to work in multiple areas of the low voltage field including Voice/Data Cabling Infrastructure, Audio/Visual Systems, Mass Notification, Access Control, Analog/Digital Phone systems, Surveillance/ CCTV, Clocks, and Pro Audio Applications.
Candidate Requirements :
High school diploma or GED, Technical/Vocational trade school, or apprenticeship
MUST have valid Drivers License, Registration, & Auto Insurance (DMV records pulled)
MUST possess good time management skills
MUST pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
MUST be physically able to perform job functions
MUST be organized and well-groomed
MUST possess basic computer skills
MUST be able to work in a loft and confined spaces; climb ladders and enter attics, telecom rooms, buildings, crawl spaces, etc.
MUST be able to safely operate various vehicles and equipment (scissor lift/boom lift).
Additional Skills
Attention to detail and alert always to ensure safety
Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and connectors.
Able to bend conduit pipes
Understands how to safely build electrical disconnects and size breakers to protect equipment.
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required (Bilingual is a Plus).
Must communicate effectively via email, phone, etc., and respond quickly and accurately
