Full Time Assistant Property Manager (Santa Maria)
Job overview:
We are a Santa Maria California real estate investment & management firm seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Property Manager to join our team. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent organization, and the ability to manage day-to-day property operations effectively. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, a team player and can professionally communicate with tenants and vendors.
Responsibilities:
Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Answer phones
Investigate and help to resolve tenant complaints
Placing and tracking completion of work orders
Enforce property/company rules and regulations
Create 3-day notices, invoices and tenant notices
Rent collections
Prepare leases and amendments
Deposit checks / accounts receivables and maintain deposit log
Process invoices / accounts payables
Clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, filing, etc
Maintain marketing postings and assist in creating marketing material
Maintain tenant contact information
Analyze contracts and proposals, meeting with vendors as needed
Assist in other projects and day-to-day activities for the property manager
Qualifications:
Prior experience in property management is a plus
Must be punctual
Great social skills, ability to build rapport with tenants
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical skills are essential, including proficiency ins MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), and Buildium or Property Ware software
Attention to detail and time management
Ability to work independently
