Job Description:
Dr. Eduardo J. Guzman Psychiatry seeks a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Administrative Assistant. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about healthcare administration and wants to contribute to the efficient operation of a psychiatric office.
Responsibilities:
1. Patient Scheduling: Coordinate and manage patient appointments, ensuring accurate scheduling and efficient use of the psychiatrist's time.
2. Front Desk Operations: Greet patients, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries professionally and empathetically. Maintain a welcoming and organized front desk area.
3. Record Keeping: Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
4. Billing Support: Assist in billing processes, including verifying insurance information and processing payments.
5. Office Management: Manage supplies, organize files, and assist in general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the office.
6. Communication: Liaise between patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members to facilitate effective communication.
Qualifications:
Bilingual English/ Spanish
Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
