JOB SUMMARY
CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist is responsible for the operation and set up of CNC Machines used to manufacturer machined parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Develop and write G-Code for a Mill/lathe CNC machine.
Set up Machine for operations.
Cycle parts through program, clean and debur as needed
Operate equipment once job has been set up and first article is approved.
Verify quality of parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, GO / NO GO gages, etc.
Identify any problems with machine immediately to appropriate supervisor or manager
Written report for counts on output and maintain counts on parts
Maintain orderly, clean and safe work area in a Fast paced, Job Shop atmosphere
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in Machine Shop preferred
Blueprint reading
Proficient in the use of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, GO / NO GO gages, etc.
Ability to make minor adjustments to compensate for tool wear
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand at machine for long periods
