The Fess Parker Winery is looking for a seasonal Winery Harvest Intern to join our team in Los Olivos, CA.
Fess Parker Winery in Los Olivos, CA is a family-owned producer of highly acclaimed wines with a focus on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rhone varietals. Fruit is sourced from our 110-acre estate vineyard as well as some of the most coveted sites throughout Santa Barbara County. We are currently seeking a cellar intern to join our crew for the 2025 harvest. The position will begin immediately and last through the end of harvest (November or later).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining a clean and safe cellar environment
Assist in receiving and processing fruit
Pump overs and punch downs
Sanitization of tanks and equipment
Reliably complete cellar tasks with limited supervision
Follow company procedures and policy
Racking and transferring of juice and wine
Barrel filling, topping, and additions
Able to communicate with winemakers and report any irregularities or equipment issues
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail
Ability to accurately follow instructions and take direction
Team oriented with positive attitude
Basic reading, writing and math skills
Prior winery cellar work preferred but not needed
Solid forklift experience a plus
Must be available to work full time including Weekends and Overtime
Physical Demands:
During the performance of the job the employee will be required to work long durations. Daily tasks will require standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs and ladders, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Given the nature of the job, the work environment may occasionally have wet or slippery floors, dangerous chemicals and gases, loud noises, and cluttered areas of hoses and machinery. The employee must be able to always observe good safety practices.
