Are you a Human Resources professional looking for a new challenge? The Alisal Ranch is looking for a full-time Human Resources Manager. Under direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the HR department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leaves of absence, and company policies and practices. This is a professional tasked with strategic planning for staffing, training and benefits and fostering a productive and positive work atmosphere. Duties include: Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy; Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigations, terminations; Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees; Teaches New Hire Orientation; Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations; Assists with annual 401k audit and submitting Form 5500; Informs employees of eligibility to participate in the Alisal’s health insurance plan and ensures enrollment paperwork is received and enrolls new participants in coverage via ADP; Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and prepares and submits annual reporting data to various government agencies; Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance; Responds to inquiries from management and employees regarding policies, procedures, and benefits; Helps oversee HR Assistant and assigns tasks; Interacts with payroll on employee-related issues and inquiries; and, Serves as back-up in absence of the HR Director. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, work well under pressure, and strong multitasking skills. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource management systems (HRMS); Internet software; Email programs; Microsoft Word and Excel.
