Brightstar Care of Santa Barbara County is currently looking for a team of dedicated nurses to provide care to pediatric patient located in the Santa Maria area.
Role Description
This is a private duty role for a bright and engaging Registered Nurse (RN) who is passionate about helping others. The Private Duty RN will be responsible for coordinating and providing care to their assigned patient in a safe and sensitive manner. Responsibilities include conducting in-home assessments, developing care plans, administering medications and wound care, providing patient and family education, and communicating with physicians and case managers. The patient is a toddler who requires trach and feeding tube care. Shifts are 10hrs daily. Nursing team members should be able to commit to at least 2 shifts per week.
Successful applicants will be required to attend orientation and trainings at our Santa Barbara office
Qualifications
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical setting as an RN
Home health experience preferred
Current CPR certification
Ability to provide own transportation to and from patient's homes
Excellent communication skills and ability to forge strong relationships with patients and clients
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking, and reasoning skills
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Pediatric experience a plus
Must have experience with Tracheostomy and feeding tubes
